This coffee is grown at high altitude in the Rwenzori Mountains on the border between the Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda. It is hand harvested and sold as fresh ripe cherries direct to the community washing station at Kalingwe.
Known as Bukonzo Dream after the farmers' desire of being able to provide better opportunities for each generation.

The establishment of the community washing stations is transforming the lives of the farmers, previously the coffee cherries were processed at farm level. Through processing in a purpose built community ‘washing and drying’ centre the extremely high quality of this coffee can be preserved and the farmers can be guaranteed a fair market price.
